Russia Begins Process of Withdrawing from the Dutch Tax Treaty

Russian Government has commenced formal process to terminate its treaty with the Netherlands.

If this event materialises, MNCs investing in Russia and the Netherlands are going to potentially face double taxation.

Incidentally, both Russia and the Netherlands had included Russia-Dutch DTAA as a CTA in their respective MLI position. If the DTAA itself gets abrogated, positions taken under the MLI by both parties shall also not survive.
